There’s a terrible smell in my fridge. No one else can smell it but every time the fridge closes it wafts around our apartment. It reminds me of rotten garlic. The last time this happened was last summer and I was pregnant. I asked my Milly to clean it out for me because I was vomiting whenever I stuck my head in the fridge. She tried, but I could still smell it after she was done. It didn’t go away, we just moved to a new apartment.
This could mean one of three things.
- I’m pregnant again. Which would be hysterical, and I don’t mean funny.
- I have a really sensitive nose.
- I’m lousy at cleaning out my fridge.
- I cook with garlic too much.
What do you think?

i don’t know what to think… but i hope for your sake the answer is number 2! i occasionally have the same problem and i’m not pregnant (i don’t think i am anyway!). jessica
Um, number 3? That’s what it is for me, anyway. I *hate* cleaning out the fridge.
Wow…you’ll definitely have to keep us posted on THIS. My goodness…hysterical is right.
I’ve been going through this same scent thing too – reminding me of being pg too. I think that it might just be our hormones getting slowly evened out as we b/f our babies and adjust to not being pg anymore. Have you started baby on solids yet? It seems that when I make a feeding change with Bella, that my hormones get all interesting until they even out again. Maybe it’s a family thing. 🙂
I have the same thing going. Only I am CERTAIN it is because the fridge needs a good scrubbing.
One of the joys of my kids getting older, is they are learning to cook and they are responsible for making sure they get something healthy to eat when they are hungry. The downside? Even though they clean up after themselves–well–not the best. And they seem to not “see” spills and drips and messes in the fridge at all. . .
